Before you take off, make sure you’ve checked these five crucial tasks off your list to ensure a smooth, hassle-free trip.

1. Exchange Some Local Currency

Some destinations require an 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐄𝐓𝐀), 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐚, 𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐞𝐞 before arrival. Research your destination’s requirements and apply ahead of time to avoid being denied boarding at the airport.

4. Call Your Cellphone Provider

International roaming charges can be costly, so check with your provider about 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒔 or consider getting an eSIM for data and calls. I recommend Airalo for affordable plans. Apps like WhatsApp and Skype are usually free to use overseas.

5. Buy Travel Plug Adapters
